Konica Minolta Highlights New Industrial Product Branding at Graph Expo 16
ORLANDO, Fla. — September 28, 2016 — The new Accurio product line and a ramped-up partnership with MGI were among the highlights of Konica Minolta’s Graph Expo press conference. Kevin Kern, senior VP for business intelligence services and product planning, announced that the Accurio branding will apply to all of Konica Minolta’s industrial equipment going forward.
One of the most anticipated product releases from Konica Minolta is the AccurioJet KM-1, an inkjet press featuring a 23x29.5” sheet size that can process up to 3,000 sph. Additionally, Konica Minolta is increasing its portfolio for the packaging industry, announcing the AccurioJet KM-C inkjet folding carton press and highlighting the bizhub PRESS C71cf, a digital label press targeted toward commercial printers, in-plants and small- to medium-sized converters. Kern also gave a nod to the C2070P color production printer, being shown as a technology demo at the Konica Minolta booth. It will replace the bizhub PRESS C1070 when it debuts next year.
Kern also discussed Konica Minolta’s growing partnership with MGI, as Konica Minolta has increased its ownership stake in MGI to 41%. Gavin Jordan-Smith, VP, solutions and production planning at Konica Minolta, also discussed the company’s software solutions, including the AccurioPro Conductor and AccurioPro Flux.
