HP Announces First Acquisition of an Indigo 6K Secure Digital Press in Latin America
Tausa-Pelcco, a Mexican company specializing in offering services for the production of security documents, vehicle, road, and urban identification plates, acquired the HP Indigo (Booth C4256) 6K Secure digital press, the first in Latin America. It should be noted that this equipment is restricted for sale only to certified and accredited high security customers.
The HP Indigo 6K Secure Press stands out for offering serialized and restricted security features by applying visible, hidden, and forensic elements in a single pass, ideal for high-security documents and applications.
“This innovative digital press will allow us to increase our ability to print safe designs in a short time and in a flexible way thanks to the wide range of HP Indigo inks and its multi-layer customization options,” says Engineer Galo Galicia, general director of Tausa-Pelcco.
“We are extremely satisfied with Tausa-Pelcco’s decision to acquire this equipment, as it will allow them to make unique capabilities available to their customers and be at the forefront of developing high-security applications in the world,” says Guillermo Lella, HP Indigo 6K Secure product manager for HP Americas. “Also, from a productivity point of view, the fact of being able to produce sophisticated security documents on a single press and in a single pass with a significant number of visible, hidden, and forensic elements, plus the flexibility that digital offers in itself, will allow them to be very productive and respond to the needs of their customers with great speed and flexibility.”
The HP Indigo 6K Secure Press features unique capabilities for the high-security segment by integrating sophisticated, fully variable, and interconnected elements. At the same time, documents are easily and instantly authenticated via mobile devices. This integrated hardware and software solution includes not only the press but also Jura’s sophisticated security features, a workflow and a set of inks restricted to this press that cannot be used in other digital printing devices.
