Hazen Paper to Sell Great Barrington, MA, Mill, With Plans to Lease It Back
HOLYOKE, MA—Hazen Paper, a paper convertor specializing in custom holographic originations, film, foil, paper laminations, specialty and gravure coatings, and rotary embossing, is now seeking an investor and/or buyer to purchase its Great Barrington, MA, production facility, with plans to then lease it back, reported MassLive.com.
Hazen Paper would then re-invest the proceeds into the company’s paper divisions, which include laminating, coating and metallizing operations and its large-format holographic design and manufacturing facility in Holyoke, MA, MassLive.com reported.
Hazen Paper's Great Barrington facility is a remnant from the Victorian era, and was built in the late 1800s. The building was formally occupied by Rising Paper Mill which Hazen Paper purchased in 2008 from Neenah Paper. The site features energy-saving geo-thermal heating and cooling.
