GRASS VALLEY, CA—Harold Berliner, a fine arts book printer known nationally for writing the text of the Miranda rights that are recited to people who are being arrested, passed away Monday at the age of 86, the Grass Valley Union reported. Mr. Berliner started his first print shop in the basement of his parent's home and founded the student-run Eric Gill Press while completing his master's degree in English at Notre Dame University. Although he went on to practice law, Mr. Berliner considered himself a printer first, dabbling in fine arts books and posters.
