John Foley Jr. Partners with Publishing Executive to Offer Social Media Master Class
WILMINGTON, MA—April 27, 2015—Grow Socially and Publishing Executive are partnering together to provide a Social Media Master Class to help magazine publishing and media professionals optimize their social media efforts. The master class, led by John Foley Jr., CEO/CMO of Grow Socially, will take place on Monday, June 8, at the Union League Club in New York City.
Foley, ranked as Forbes’ 15th Most Influential Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) on Social Media, will facilitate a series of sessions, discussions and hands-on activities ideal for editors, marketers, audience development managers, publishers, and brand managers. The master class will provide real-world examples of social media campaigns and strategies that will help demonstrate how publishers can implement successful strategies in their own social marketing efforts.
"As publishers ourselves, we know there is room for editorial, audience development, marketing and the like to improve—or in some cases, simply implement—social media strategy," explained Denis Wilson, editor-in-chief and content director of Publishing Executive magazine. "It's especially important for everyone in the media space to understand the key metrics behind an effective social media strategy and to take it seriously. Too often social media is regarded as a nice thing to do, and not a mission critical activity. That needs to change."
The master class will provide media and publishing professionals with new opportunities for integrating social media into their marketing and sales strategies, assist in setting goals for a social media strategy and ultimately converting potential audience members into customers. “It’s exciting to have an respected publication, Publishing Executive, recognize the importance of effective social marketing strategies and partner with us to bring this master class to members of the media and publishing space,” said Grow Socially’s CEO/CMO John Foley Jr. "I’m excited to be leading this interactive day with great speakers and bringing some actionable takeaways that our attendees will be able to take from the class and implement quickly for their publication’s benefit."
Foley, along with other guest speakers, are confident that the attendees will be able to implement and grow social engagement to help enhance their publications upon leaving the class. Matt Steinmetz, publisher and brand director of Publishing Executive magazine agrees. "We’re thrilled to be partnering with John Foley and Grow Socially on this important event," he said. "John’s wealth of expertise in helping organizations craft and execute successful social media strategies makes him uniquely qualified to lead our audience through a full day, deep dive into their own social efforts. Attendees will leave this Master Class armed with new tactics to help drive new revenue, enhance audience development strategies, and bolster their brands within their own markets."
Other speakers will be announced as the master class approaches. You can sign up for the social media master class at http://smmc.pubexec.com. Please be advised that seats are limited to ensure the best experience for all attendees.
