GPO Annual Report: Positive Financial Results for Fiscal Year 2014 with a Net Income of $6.8M
WASHINGTON, DC—March 25, 2015—GPO Director Davita Vance-Cooks released the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2014. The report details the year the agency changed its name to better reflect how the evolving information needs of Congress, Federal agencies, and the public have moved beyond only print. Publishing reflects the increasingly prominent role that GPO plays in providing access to Government information in digital formats through the agency's Federal Digital System, apps, e-books and related technologies.

GPO’s operations recorded positive net income of $6.8 million for the year, net of revenues for passport-related capital investments and a decrease in long-term workers’ compensation liability.
“Fiscal year 2014 was a year of challenge and change for the GPO,” said GPO Director Davita Vance-Cooks. “I am pleased to report that we finished that year on a positive financial basis and ready to meet the challenges of fiscal year 2015. The men and women of the GPO deeply appreciate the support of the President and Congress for our digital transformation and our work in Keeping America Informed.”
