WASHINGTON, DC—An employee working at the Government Printing Office (GPO) on the 700 block of North Capitol Street was seriously injured this Tuesday when his hand got caught in a paper baler, The Washington Post reported.
The unidentified employee was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition after the accident, said Tim Wilson, a DC fire department spokesman.
A GPO spokesman told the newspaper that several fellow employees saw the man injure his hand and assisted him until emergency responders arrived on the scene. The GPO is investigating the incident.
