CANTON, OH—A Buckeye State printer took ownership of a printing gaffe that caused thousands of utility customers to receive incorrect bills and went back to press earlier this week to rectify the situation, according to the Canton Repository. Tim Barr, president of Document Concepts, covered the cost of reprinting and mailing 26,000 bills to customers of the Stark County (OH) Metropolitan Sewer District.
"It was our mistake," Barr told the paper, "and we will fix it."
Barr said that the computer glitch that caused the error has been rectified. Document Concepts won a contract last August to print and mail Stark County sewer and water bills for $21,000 a year, according to the Repository.
