Ex-Print Supplier Employee Admits to Stealing $210K
CALEDONIA, MI—A former employee of lithographic, wide-format and package printing supply company The Advantage Group has admitted to stealing more than $210,000. Amy Lynne Roselle, 49, now faces prison in addition to having to pay back the money she embezzled, reported MLive.
Roselle pleaded guilty to embezzlement of more than $100,000, the harshest embezzlement charge under Michigan law, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, according to MLive.
Mark Vanderbur, president of The Advantage Group, reportedly learned about the incident when an accountant informed him that Roselle had been transferring funds to a business account for her own use since September 2012. She used the funds to pay off credit card debt and other personal expenses.
George Krupp, Roselle's attorney, said that she is in the process of transferring $32,000 from her retirement account to pay back some of the stolen money, which he hopes will act in her favor at sentencing. At press time, Roselle was free on $1,000 bond.
