Folex to Display the Fine Art of Coating
COLOGNE, GERMANY—April 10, 2008—Under this main theme, Folex, a foil-coating manufacturer, will be presenting its range of products which has been expanded by quite a few novelties to the fair’s visitors. Folex will be focussing on developments made in the fields of coating plates and underpacking foils. In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the current status of printable films and papers for the LFP range and for digital printing. A booth area which is approximately 30% bigger as compared to the one used on the last DRUPA will be reflecting the wide variety of new features presented.
Folacoat - solutions for inline coating
A large number of product innovations will attract interest to this manufacturer of strippable coating plates with cutting protection and slipping films. The novelties introduced will include, e.g., raw material presenting a higher resistance to UV coatings in addition to Folacoat Plus, a product proven for univeral application with emulsion and UV coatings for many years. Furthermore, cost-efficient solutions will be presented for order structures involving a small number of print runs, while the current portfolio also allows the provision of consumable material for XXL machines.
Folacoat Flexible – An efficient alternative to rubber blankets for use on job printers with predominant solid area coating will be shown for the first time. This alternative now provides a compressible coating skin which may be underpacked in part. It consists of a pure polymeric compound, and may be used in tower coaters in a way similar to rubber blankets. But, in contrast to printing blankets, users may count on the proven transfer properties of the Folacoat Polymer which is known for its low tendency for ink reception, and which now allows the creation of higher reliefs. The coating skin does not have any fabric layers susceptible to squashing, but presents a comparably high compressibility.
