Western Expansion for FetterGroup
LOUISVILLE, KY—FetterGroup, a marketing distribution and packaging provider, is expanding its operations to the western United States with the opening of a new, 12,000-square-foot facility in Reno, NV. The plant will provide digital printing, bindery, fulfillment and distribution services.
FetterGroup President and CEO Terry Gill says the company chose Reno for its western headquarters because it "provides convenient access to California specifically, and gives us a strategic advantage for distribution across the western United States." The company expects 2010 sales to increase by more than 20 percent.
FetterGroup also invested $700,000 in new equipment purchases in 2009, with an additional $2 million budgeted for infrastructure growth in 2010. Purchases across the enterprise for 2009 include an HP Indigo 3500 digital press; a high-speed, eight-pocket collation device; an eight-page MBO folder; a 16-page Stahl B26 2640 continuous-feed folder; and a Heidelberg/Polar DCM automated diecutter with in-line auto banding.
To support its growth, FetterGroup has hired five new employees in 2009 and plans to add three to five more positions by the end of the year.
