ALPHARETTA, GA—Scientific Games has expanded its lottery ticket manufacturing plant, a move that will result in 40 new jobs and bolster printing capacity by about 20 percent, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported.
The company has acquired an Alpha P-7 manufacturing system that is capable of printing 9 billion lottery tickets per year, the newspaper said. The Alpha P-7 is a system of 20 printing presses electronically networked together, the Chronicle added.
More than half of Scientific Games' revenue is derived from its lottery division. In addition to Atlanta, it designs and manufactures lottery games in four countries: Canada, Chile, China and the United Kingdom.
