EMT to Showcase Production-Ready Vira Cutter and Stacker with Integrated Inspection and Analytics at PRINTING United 2026
EMT International will showcase the commercially available Vira Cutter and Stacker at PRINTING United Expo 2026, demonstrating a complete automated finishing solution for roll-fed digital print applications. Live demonstrations at Booth N5229 will highlight the system's flexibility, precision and integrated automation.
The Vira Cutter and Stacker has already been selected by multiple customers and represents the latest addition to EMT's Vira portfolio of digital print finishing solutions. Following its prototype debut at PRINTING United 2025, the system has been refined into a commercially available production platform designed to deliver precise cut-and-stack performance while enabling printers to efficiently transition between different job types with minimal setup.
The demonstration line combines the Vira Cutter and Stacker with an integrated decurler, a Videk vision inspection system and SpencerMetrics production analytics software. Together, the technologies create an automated finishing workflow that conditions roll-fed media, captures production data and verifies output quality before finished pieces are stacked or automatically diverted when defects are detected.
Throughout the show, EMT will run up to four live applications on the line, including pharmaceutical, direct mail, postcards and general commercial print, demonstrating the Vira Cutter and Stacker's versatility across a wide range of roll-fed digital print applications. Select demonstrations will also showcase the Videk vision inspection system's ability to identify and automatically divert non-conforming pieces, highlighting the benefits of integrated quality assurance within the production process.
"Today's print providers need finishing solutions that can adapt to a wide variety of applications," said Mike Herold, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at EMT International. "The Vira Cutter and Stacker gives them that flexibility while integrating inspection and production analytics into a single automated workflow."
