Duquesne Litho Becomes Part of Heeter Direct
PARAMUS, NJ—April 12, 2010—The owners of Duquesne Litho, Inc., Bridgeville, PA, have joined Heeter Direct of Canonsburg, PA. Duquesne Litho ceased manufacturing operations on Friday, April 9th. Owners Jim Condio, Steve Condio and Greg Condio have become part of Heeter Direct effective today. Specific terms were not disclosed. NAPL provides ongoing advice to Heeter on its mergers and acquisitions growth strategy.
“We are very pleased to have joined Heeter Direct,” said Duquesne Litho President Jim Condio. “Heeter Direct has long enjoyed an excellent reputation for the quality of its work and its superior service. This new relationship allows us to provide a wider range of services and capabilities to meet our customers’ expanding graphic communications needs.”
Heeter Direct President Scott Heeter said, “We are excited to have Jim, Steve, and Greg come on board with our team, and appreciate that they think highly enough of us to trust that their customer relationships will be maintained and enhanced.”
Both companies have built excellent reputations serving the greater Pittsburgh area for many years. Heeter Direct has more than 60 years experience in commercial sheetfed printing and has become a leader in digital print-on-demand, variable data, mailing, kitting and fulfillment services. Duquesne Litho has served Pittsburgh businesses and other organizations since 1946, providing commercial printing, finishing, mailing and warehousing services.
“I am more convinced than ever that when the right companies combine their strengths, there are many benefits,” said Heeter.
The transaction with Duquesne Litho’s former owners comes less than a year after Heeter Direct successfully integrated First Impression Printing of Pittsburgh, which merged into Heeter Direct in June 2009, noted John Hyde, NAPL Senior Vice President, who provides ongoing strategic advice to Heeter’s ownership and senior management, including guidance and insight on mergers and acquisitions as a growth strategy.
“Heeter Direct is a great example of a leading company that is positioning itself for future success and growth” says Hyde, noting that the company has been a member of NAPL, the not-for-profit management association for business excellence in the printing and graphic communications industry, for over 20 years.
