Blue Ocean Highlights EFI VUTEk GS5000r Installations at Open House
FOSTER CITY, CA—September 19, 2013—EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced the sale of three EFI VUTEk GS5000r printers to Blue Ocean Worldwide. Two of the printers have been installed at Blue Ocean Worldwide’s Long Island City, NY, headquarters, while a third has been installed in the company’s Las Vegas facility. Between the two locations, Blue Ocean Worldwide now has five VUTEk superwide format printers, including a VUTEk GS3250 hybrid roll-to-roll and flatbed printer and a GS3250LX hybrid printer with LED-curing capabilities, and uses EFI's browser-based Pace MIS software to automate their operations.
Today, Blue Ocean Worldwide will host an open house event at its headquarters to showcase the new, five-meter wide VUTEk roll-to-roll UV inkjet printers.

The EFI VUTEk GS5000r prints in up to eight colors, plus white, giving printing companies the ultimate versatility in high-end, roll-to-roll indoor graphics production. The printer also offers print modes for the high-speed production of outdoor graphics. The VUTEk GS5000r printer’s mix of features and capabilities gives users the ability to produce multiple jobs at once, with multi-queue and multi-roll printing capabilities to ensure high throughput on a broad range of media.
The VUTEk GS5000r printer’s inks provide the outdoor durability and flexibility needed for compelling fleet graphics, transit wraps and building wrap installations. Plus the printer is the only five-meter wide UV printer that has its output covered by the 3M MCS Warranty when using co-branded EFI and 3M inks and printing on 3M flexible media.
