Fire Devastates Iowa Printing Facility
SHELDON, IA—An overnight fire at the White Wolf Web printing company here virtually wiped out the facility, according to the N'West Iowa Review. There were no injuries reported.
Firefighters responded to the facility—which prints The Sheldon Mail-Sun, Doon Press, Sioux Center News and the Review (among other publications)—around 1:20 a.m. It took firefighters from four departments nearly 12 hours to fully douse the blaze, as the responders had to continuously battle flareups. The state fire marshal had yet to determine the cause of the fire.
Jeff Wagner, an employee of White Wolf Web whose family founded the company in 1996, told the newspaper that the facility and its contents appeared to be a total loss. He said that other area printers would be enlisted to help produce the newspapers and various other publications for White Wolf Web's clients.
