Baldwin's AMS Spectral UV to Unveil Next-Generation LED-UV Curing at Expo
As North America’s largest manufacturer of LED and UV curing technology, Baldwin’s AMS Spectral UV division will showcase its line of LED-UV retrofits for the sheetfed and web offset markets at PRINTING United 2022, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 19-21. The patented XP Quatro Series will be featured as the latest evolution in an impressive portfolio of high-speed, high-performance LED-UV curing technologies, with information and demos available in booth N213.
“The market remains strong despite all of the global uncertainty, which means our customers have a lot on their minds – be it supply chain uncertainty, constraints, inflation ... many macro-economic factors outside of their control. We are excited to be able to welcome people to the Baldwin booth and show how we can eliminate many of those stresses with a broad range of products and innovations that increase automation, productivity, quality and reduce press downtime and waste,” said Baldwin Vice President of Sales Craig Black. “In addition to presenting information on our suite of solutions, we are happy to provide a space where printers can stop by to recharge, relax, and meet our team”
This year at PRINTING United, Baldwin will highlight the newest addition to its line of innovative LED curing technologies for high-performance printing – the patented XP Quatro Series. This LED-UV curing module is designed to cure printing inks and coatings more economically and efficiently than ever before. Hosting two powerful LED UV arrays, the XP Quatro Series delivers double the LED power at a lower cost than two individual lamps while operating at top industrial speeds. It is ideal for web offset printers who require a rugged, long-lasting press conversion and are looking to move away from reliance on gas to provide higher-quality product and an eco-friendlier footprint.
Also available for sheetfed offset LED retrofits will be the well-known XP and XO Series LED systems, two of AMS Spectral UV's tested and trusted flagship products. Known for performance and reliability, XP and XO are the industry standard for those competing for accounts that require top-quality results with every run.
Baldwin’s AMS Spectral UV division is a world leader in the market with an installed base of more LED systems on offset presses globally than any other provider of LED technology. From research and development through engineering and production, the company’s team of experts can customize solutions to suit any application.
“We are excited to show how these products fit within the Baldwin portfolio of solutions, helping customers across industries increase bottom-line profitability through equipment that delivers higher productivity, improved quality and reduced downtime,” said Black.
At Printing United, Baldwin’s experts will also be on-hand to bring printers up to speed on the new Guardian PQV 100% Print Inspection version 4.0. Designed and manufactured to help printers achieve print quality perfection and reduce material waste, these state-of-the-art camera systems can provide single or dual sided 100% print quality inspection for any given application. These applications can range from high-volume label production with variable data to inspecting the most challenging security print applications with features such as UV fluorescent, fiber inspection, IR covert, optically variable devices and inks, and magnetic inks. The Guardian PQV solution is designed for ease of use, ultimately reducing the need for operator training and minimizing the problem of press staff turnover.
