Assemblies of God Signs a Distribution Agreement with Bookmasters
ASHLAND, OH—March 12, 2012—Bookmasters has entered into a sales and distribution agreement with the Assemblies of God denomination and their major publishing imprints: Gospel Publishing House, Influence Resources and Life Publishers. Through this strategic partnership, Assemblies of God plans to expand their reach in the Christian and secular markets.
"We chose Bookmasters as our distribution partner because of their proven strength in the book market," said Steve Blount, vice president of Publishing for the Assemblies of God. "With more than half of Christian books now being sold outside of traditional CBA sales channels, and thus more and more through the general book trade, we needed a sales and distribution partner that knows the business. And because Bookmasters offers an integrated suite of services, we can work with one company that meets many of our needs, from design and layout, to eBook distribution, to offset and digital printing."
Assemblies of God titles will be available through general book retailers and wholesalers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor, and through major Christian retailers including Spring Arbor, STL Distribution, and Anchor.
Assemblies of God, based out of Springfield, Missouri, is one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world with 64 million members and adherents. It was organized in 1914 by a broad coalition of ministers with common objectives including missionary work and Christian fellowship.
Bookmasters, based in Ashland, Ohio, is one of the largest integrated providers of publisher services including editorial and design, eBook conversion, printing, printed book and eBook distribution, and marketing services. The organization has remained a publishing industry leader for more than 40 years.
