PITTSFIELD—Quality Printing has installed an eight-color Komori Lithrone S40 perfector with coater. It is the company’s fourth Komori press.
WESTFORD—Book manufacturer Courier Corp. has installed an EPG KeyColor C remote ink control system at its plant here. Courier also invested in EPG’s KeyColor AutoSet presetting software. The KeyColor C installation was part of a press overhaul arranged by 3P Inc., which helped transform a 28-year-old Cottrell web press into a Harris M-1000-A.
WOBURN—UniGraphic Inc., a full-service general commercial and large-format printer, has added two KBA presses: a seven-color, 41˝ Rapida 105 sheetfed offset press and a 74 Karat digital offset waterless press. Both presses were installed simultaneously in July.
DEXTER—Diecutting Services upgraded its Kluge FlexFold automatic folder/gluer with a vertical buckle folder; four 18˝ top belt drives; low friction-bearing bed drives; and a 36˝ marble bar assembly that eases registration.
MINNEAPOLIS—The John Roberts Co. has been named a Charter Certified Printer for MagneCote, an offset printing stock with a magnetic coating applied to the back. Magne-Cote certification was presented to John Roberts by NewPage, the manufacturer of MagneCote.
CLIFTON—NEI Worldwide Graphics is now operating a Vijuk-G&K V-18 6/4 FL2 miniature/commercial folder, distributed by Vijuk Equipment. Operating out of a 34,000-square-foot facility, NEI Worldwide Graphics is a full-service commercial printer offering services from electronic prepress to complete bindery services. PENNSAUKEN—CRW Graphics reports it has installed a Xerox iGen3 110 digital production press to expand its digital color printing business and meet growing customer demand for personalized, short-run, full-color digital printing. CRW produces jobs for the retail, educational, advertising, manufacturing and healthcare segments.
