FARGO—Kaye's Printing, a division of Forum Communications, has ordered a Beiren 3840 web offset press from Graphic Innovators. The eight-unit, two-web shaftless press will be equipped with a 3840 combination folder for tabloid, chop and double-parallel folds, and will have sheeting capabilities.
Twinsburg—Oliver Printing recently added a Drupa-edition six-color Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 with coater, extended delivery and axis control scanner to its pressroom. Founded in 1924, Oliver Printing is a family owned and operated shop.
York—Strine Printing has completed installing the world's first 73˝ MAN Roland 900 XXL press. The six-color 900 XXL has in-line coating and UV curing capabilities. This complements Strine's ever-growing array of equipment to service the point-of-sale, packaging and commercial print sectors. In addition to four digital presses and 12 40˝ presses, Strine utilizes two six-color, 56˝ MAN Roland 900s.
FORT WORTH—Streamline Solutions announced that Transcontinental Direct will install its PrintStream print and direct mail management system at the facility here. PrintStream went live in Transcontinental Direct's Los Angeles facility in 2003.
SEATTLE—Commercial/package printer Trojan Litho has agreed to purchase an eight-color, 56˝ KBA Rapida 142 sheetfed press with coater and hybrid UV capabilities, as well as the new KBA Qualitronic II in-line sheet inspection system. The new press is due to be delivered and installed by July.
