2024 Fast-Track Firm: Vivid Impact Sees Double-Digit Growth Year After Year

The “Fast-Track” company profiles provide insight on why some companies on the Printing Impressions annual list of the largest printing companies in the U.S. and Canada have performed so well. We spoke with them to find out how they view their companies and the printing industry in general moving forward.
The businesses recognized as this year’s fast-track firms attribute their successes to a variety of factors, including investments in technology, business acquisitions, strategic relationships, and a narrow focus on the things they do well.
Read below why Printing Impressions recognized Vivid Impact as a Fast-Track Firm.
Vivid Impact | Louisville, Kentucky
Most Recent Fiscal Year Sales: $55.25 million
Previous Fiscal Year Sales: $32.95 million
Percentage Change: 68%
For Vivid Impact, being a fast-track company with incredible year-over-year growth isn’t something new. While it saw a 68% increase in it’s revenue on this year’s annual Printing Impressions list of the largest printing companies, it comes on the heels of double-digit growth last year as well.
Sam Campitella, the company’s president, notes that success comes in a few different forms beyond just revenue. He notes the company has seen a “new technology stack for retail and convenience; customer technology — via our internal developers — targeted selling; and doubling down on our three target markets. We have hired 105 team members in 2024 — we now employ over 320 team members.
Furthermore, we opened two new facilities, and now have four operations with [more than] 250,000 sq. ft. of support.”
It’s an impressive list of accomplishments, which Campitella says is a direct result of “our willingness to never be satisfied with the status quo — we call it ‘positive discontent.’ We are committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations, and constantly looking for ways to improve the customer experience.”
That focus on the customer experience is something he plans to continue to carry forward into the new year. He notes that today’s customers aren’t just print buyers looking to buy a single piece disconnected from anything else. Instead, brands and buyers today are looking for a unified campaign that can span multiple mediums — and Campitella wants to be the one providing all those services.
“[We] need be able to respond to everyday customer needs with a sense of urgency — customers have responsibilities beyond traditional print buying,” he says. “We make it our job to wrap a support system around the client. In many cases that’s design; video andanimation; technology; print; fulfillment and kitting; warehousing; and nationwide installation.”
He expands on that, noting that Vivid Impact isn’t just a commercial printer.
“We offer a comprehensive suite of services and technology designed to strategically automate and scale marketing efforts, ensuring they are brand-directed, locally perfected, and data-connected for optimal impact,” he says.
So what’s next for the company? Campitella has a variety of plans for expansion in 2025 and, with his track record, will hopefully see another year of double-digit growth as a result. Some of the areas he is planning investments in for the coming months include hiring additional developers to expand that side of the business — as well as adding a fifth facility to expand the company’s network even further. On the production side, Campitella notes there are plans to invest in additional equipment specifically to support both its wide-format and finishing departments.
Vivid Impact is a perfect example of how a commercial printer can become a powerhouse marketing communications provider that still emphasizes the print components, but recognizes that, in today’s world, a campaign touches multiple channels. Therefore, it’s in a printer’s best interest to be the provider that can do it all. The incredible growth it has experienced several years in a row is testament to just how well that approach works.
