One Dead, Two Injured in Paper Plant Accident in York County
One person is dead and two others were injured, according to emergency officials, after an accident at a York County paper plant. The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Resolute Forest Products plant in Catawba. This is the old "Bowater" plant along Highway 5 near the Lancaster County border.
County emergency management director Cotton Howell told WBTV that three contractors were doing maintenance on an old decommissioned tank outside the main production area.
