Thirty-four pressmen at the New Hampshire Union Leader will lose their jobs after the newspaper stops printing its own paper in June. The state’s largest newspaper reported this week that it entered into an agreement with Seacoast Media Group to print its paper in Dover.
Publisher Joe McQuaid says the decision was necessary because of the cost of updating and commercializing the press. The move also marks an expansion for Seacoast Media Group, which publishes the Portsmouth Herald.
