IP Closes Shreveport Pre-print Operations

International Paper on Friday announced it is phasing out pre-print operations at its Shreveport manufacturing facility over the next 90 days, resulting in the loss of approximately 20 of the plant's 35 jobs. The plant's coating operations will continue to operate, according to a company news release.

The decision to phase out the pre-print operations was made to match International Paper's supply with the needs of its customers and to take advantage of the efficiencies in its other facilities. The pre-print operation at Shreveport prints packaging for the consumer products industry.
