A former official of a San Antonio printing company was sentenced Thursday to three years of probation and six months of house arrest for embezzling about $71,000. David Allen Lyle, 57, pleaded guilty in June to one count of wire fraud, and four others were dismissed. He apologized to U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia for his conduct.
From November 2007 until he was fired almost exactly a year ago, Lyle was chief financial officer of Shweiki Media, which prints magazines, newsletters, catalogs and other publications.
His lawyer, Alan Brown, told the judge that Lyle would make a payment of $25,500 toward restitution.
