On this episode of The Week That Was, we report on a joint announcement from Quad and Landa Digital Printing that a B1-format Landa S10P nanographic press will join Quad's In-Store Solutions production lineup. It will enable digital printing of highly variable, two-sided signs, measuring up to 41˝, at speeds up to 6,500 sheets/hr.

In other news, Mark Michelson sat down for a video with Peter Schaefer, partner at M&A firm New Direction Partners, to discuss how today’s rising inflation and interest rates will impact M&A activity within the printing and packaging industries. They also talked about which print markets are hot, and which ones are not when it comes to M&A valuations.

We also published a profile on Tucker Castleberry. The Atlanta-based, unionized commercial printer installed an eight-color Komori Lithrone G40 LED-UV perfector to compete in the four-over-four market..

And, finally, SeaChange, in Minneapolis, invested in a Canon varioPRINT iX-series color sheetfed inkjet press to pair with its existing HP PageWide T250 inkjet web press.
