After reviewing many options, including sheetfed, in-line, and digital-only systems, Digital Lizard VP of Manufacturing Patrick Meredith and his fellow management team opted to implement a Muller Martini Presto II Digital Stitcher with an MBO Roll Fed Selective Fold Sheeting Infeed.
The system can produce self- or matched-cover digital booklets; self- or matched-cover traditional static offset booklets; and a new hybrid product that features both traditional offset and digital content within the same product. Due to the product flexibility, the system configuration enables a higher ROI and creates new opportunities to support a range of production printing demands from Digital Lizard's sister offset divisions, as well as its own core digital printing business.
