Announce a Price Increase...Why?
Good customers will understand and bad customers can go somewhere else. Sound harsh? Perhaps, but that is one of the reasons much of our industry suffers from low profitability. Too many printers are just not good businesspeople, and those are the ones that get consolidated during these difficult times.
Announce or not? You decide. But above all, don’t fail to keep your pricing up with your costs. We do have inflation creeping into our lives. It can kill an otherwise good business if you don’t recognize and deal with it.
