Grossman New Alexander CEO CLIFTON, NJ—Roy Grossman, president of Sandy Alexander, has been promoted to CEO, effective January 1, 2003, the company announced. Carpenter Acquires Royle Print Division

SUN PRAIRIE, WI—Ownership of the print division at Royle Communications Group has switched hands. Chris Carpenter, COO, has structured a transaction to purchase the printing company from Richard Royle, president and CEO. The switch in ownership is one of many changes for the company, which specializes in high-quality web printing of catalogs, magazines and corporate collateral. It recently opened a new corporate headquarters in this Madison suburb. A 20,000-square-foot expansion was completed there in April. Additionally, the company has added new equipment in the form of a Muller Martini Norm perfect binder and a Muller Martini Prima SB saddle stitcher with inside/outside ink-jetting and personalization.

On Demand 2002 More People Per Inch?

NEW YORK CITY—What seemed to strike attendees most at the recent On Demand 2002 conference and exposition was the high volume of traffic in the aisles of the show floor, especially compared to last-year's event. However, it was also readily apparent to all that the square footage of show-floor space was down from the 2001 event. Since final registration numbers were yet to be determined, people were left to speculate about whether attendance really was up or if the crowded conditions were just the result of showgoers being squeezed into a smaller space.
