Heidelberg’s Saphira Bio Ink Series has achieved ISO 2846-1 conformance from Printing Industries of America (PIA). The ISO 2846-1 certification is the international standard used to determine the color and transparency conformance of four-color lithographic printing inks.

In the third quarter of its financial year, Heidelberg achieved a slightly positive result in operating activities and had stable sales. Sales in the first nine months amounted to €1.811 billion, 4 percent down on the previous year’s figure for the same period.
HardingPoorman has installed a POLAR P.A.C.E. 137XT fully automated cutting system in its recently expanded Indianapolis facility. “The new system has taken over the lion’s share of our commercial print cutting work, which includes anything and everything from finish trim to posters, signatures, and diecut sheets,” said Steve Anzalone, COO.
The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) has announced that Larry Kroll has been hired as its vice president of development. Kroll has a long history of activity in the industry and education, as well as involvement with PGSF.
