Gregory Maio has joined Finch Paper as vice president of sales and marketing, and the company’s newest member of the Senior Leadership Team. He comes to Finch from National Envelope, where he served as vice president of Sales.

Sen. Charles Schumer: Stop the No-paper Prescription Bill

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, visited Glens Falls, NY, and spoke at Finch Paper, calling a provision that would allow drug manufacturers to provide information online, rather than including a printed paper copy with every prescription, “very, very damaging to New York state, the Capital Region and Glens Falls.”

The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed legislation that includes the no-paper provision, which Schumer is urging be removed from the bill before it passes in the Senate.

Anti-fraud Bill Opposed by Finch Paper

The U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill Monday night to help combat prescription drug fraud. So why would a paper company in Glens Falls (NY) care?

Finch Paper, which has operated a mill on the bank of the Hudson River in the Warren County city for over a century, urged the area's congressmen to vote against the measure because it contains an "anti-paper provision" that would require the electronic invoicing of drug shipments.

Mukherjee Takes Executive Helm at Finch Paper

GLENS FALLS, NY—Finch Paper has announced a transition in leadership. Joseph Raccuia has stepped down as president and CEO of the uncoated paper manufacturer effective May 24. He is succeeded by Debabrata Mukherjee, Ph.D., who has served as vice president and general manager of specialty papers for worldwide paper manufacturer P.H. Glatfelter since 2008.
