Cenveo to Close Its Envelope Plant in Dallas

Cenveo plans to shut down its Dallas envelope manufacturing plant and lay off 71 employees next month, according to The Dallas Morning News. The plant at 10700 Harry Hines Blvd. will close by July 30 and the company gave no reason for the permanent closure in a filing with the Texas Workforce Commission, the newspaper reported.

For its first quarter of 2011, Cenveo recorded operating income of $22.2 million, an increase of approximately 82 percent compared to $12.2 million in the first quarter of 2010, and net income of $2.8 million vs. a net loss of $11.1 million.
