The Slate Group Installs Komori GL840P, Produces Specialty Folder Project

Komori America is proud to highlight a recent collaboration with Slate Group that brings together high-end design, precision printing, and premium finishing to produce a set of branded capacity folders that showcase print as both a value and a luxury.

Based in Lubbock, Texas, Slate Group recently installed a Komori GL840P — an eight-color offset press that’s designed for speed, efficiency, and quality. Slate Group also uses their Komori GL540+C press which became the backbone of this special project, where every stage of production — from creative layout to final assembly — was completed entirely in-house by the Slate team.

The result? A set of Komori-branded capacity folders that combine functional design with striking visual and tactile embellishments.

Project Highlights:

• Printed on the Komori GL540+C press
• UV and spot matte coating for a contrasting finish
• Heavy stock with precision die-cutting
• Hand-applied Velcro dots to secure expandable pockets
• Full-color offset printing with exceptional registration and color fidelity
