Sharp To Showcase Digital Press Innovations at PRINTING United Expo
Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (Sharp) will unveil its latest innovations in digital press technology at the Printing United Expo, held October 22–24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Visitors to booth #4242 can explore Sharp's expanded production print portfolio—including new finishing solutions, a preview of its next-generation entry-level production printer, and strategic partnerships designed to drive customer success. Expanding the Capabilities of the BP-1200S Color Press Series
Sharp will preview the upcoming Plockmatic Booklet Finisher, designed for its flagship BP-1200S 4- and 6-color digital presses. This compact, high-performance finisher supports booklet sizes from A6 to A4 landscape, including the popular letter landscape format. It enables production of up to 200-page square-fold booklets, corner and edge-stapled sets, and long-sheet applications up to 26 inches—all within a user-friendly system ideal for monthly volumes of 30,000–40,000 booklets.
Powered by the Fiery FS600 Pro software platform and the cutting-edge NX Premium-based BP-PE12 Fiery Print Server, the BP-1200S—featured at the expo—redefines digital embellishment with stunning 6-color output in a single pass. This breakthrough technology empowers graphic designers, brand owners, and print providers to craft visually striking materials with premium finishes and specialty colors, including gold, silver, white, clear toner and gamut expanding pink with ease. Streamlining Monochrome Production with GBC FuturoPunch Pro
Sharp will also preview the GBC FuturoPunch Pro, an inline punching solution for its existing Monochrome Press Series BP-1250M/1360M. This advanced system streamlines production by printing and punching documents in a single step, ready for coil, comb, wire, or other binding styles. Supporting paper sizes from 5.5" x 8.5" to 8.5" x 14", it's ideal for manuals, workbooks, and bound reports—eliminating offline handling and boosting workflow efficiency.
Introducing New Entry-level Color Production Models
Sharp will preview its successors to the MX-7081 and MX-8081 models. Built on Sharp's latest advanced series platform, these models offer a consistent user experience across fleets, enhanced security, and powerful native tools. Key features include:
- GBC SMARTPUNCH PLUS with inline creasing, perforation, and multiple punch patterns
- High-powered inserter supporting up to 360gsm inserts for premium finishing
- Vacuum-fed bypass tray for long-sheet sizes up to 47.2 inches
- Optional embedded Fiery print server for advanced color management and workflow optimization

Along with cutting-edge products, Sharp will showcase its production print capabilities alongside a powerful lineup of strategic alliance partners. Taktiful will demonstrate its AI-powered embellishment software integrated with Sharp's BP-1200S digital press and offer advanced tools for estimating and virtual previsualization of embellishments. Color-Logic will highlight its Process Metallic Color System, Adobe CC palettes for print embellishment with vector colors, Image-FX for working with images, and FX-Viewer for visualizing effects. Touch Neon Color System from Color-Logic provides the world's first digital color palette for fluorescent toners and Touch7 Photo for adding fluorescent inks into images. Both Color-Logic and Touch7 systems are bundled with Sharp presses, enabling designers to create dazzling effects with predictable ease.
