Presstek 52DI digital offset press
The Presstek 52DI digital offset press offers both traditional offset and digital printers the most profitable solution for meeting the demand for quick turnaround, short run high quality color printing. The 52DI targets the fastest growing segment of the print market: runs of 250 to 10,000 or more sheets—the strategic gap between production toner-based digital presses and conventional offset. In general, job profitability is 13 percent higher on a DI compared to a conventional press, and compared to a production volume color toner-based digital device, the DI press saves 50 percent on average per letter size page, according to research firm InfoTrends.
The Presstek 52DI can expand the print service provider’s capabilities with its ability to print on a wide range of substrates from onion skin to heavy card stock; including plastics and magnetic paper. In addition, it produces superior quality printing with up to 300 lpi and FM screening, and does so without incurring additional time or expense.
This landscape digital offset press offers the ability to produce more jobs in less time with its highly automated functions, waterless press design, and operating speed of up to 10,000 sheets per hour with a maximum print area of 510 x 360 mm (20.07 x 14.17 inches) per sheet; one of the largest print areas available in its class. Makereadies (including plate imaging and blanket washing) are completed in as little as 10 minutes and sellable color is produced within 20 sheets – delivering fast turnaround times.
