With Prinect Printready System, it’s possible to work with user-defined color tables if every varnish is named “varnish.” Create a new color table in Administration/Resources/color table and put it on top of the list. (The tables are checked from top to bottom.) Create a new color named “varnish” with the settings 0/0/0/0, “opaque and ignore,” and “overprint.” In job settings, enable “take color definitions for new colors from color tables.” In “prepare,” select “output all spots” at spot color treatment. Remember not to convert the varnish into process color as this will result in overprinting 0% CMYK.
