PaperSpecsGallery.com Presents: Nothing Is Impossible Business Card Holders
When you have a name like “Impress Communications,” you have a great deal to live up to. Fortunately for the people at this creative California printing, design and marketing company, the business card holders they crafted are sure to capture attention and make print-lovers swoon before potential clients have even seen their card. The two sleeves I want to share with you - each designed, printed and produced by Impress - both have 130-lb. Verso Anthem Gloss Cover stock as their base.
The white edition features the words “Nothing is” rendered in hot foil stamping on the cover, as well as a mandala illustration that not only boasts foil stamping along its fringes, but also tiny intricate laser cuts throughout in every conceivable shape. What you’re left with is a piece that is essentially held together by minuscule lines of paper, which is pretty mind blowing when you think about it.

Opening it up we discover more gold foil within, the word “Impossible” printed in gray, and a reflective version of the mandala pattern on the inside front cover. Two notches at the top of the holder allow you to slide the actual business card out from within - a feature repeated in the other holder, too.
The laser cutting on display in the blue version is just as impressive, with grooves cut at an angle giving the cover a window-blinds-shadow-like effect against which the same “Nothing Is” phrase is set. (Here the white lettering is actually the original color of the sheet showing through.) In this version the “impossible” is elegantly laser cut into the inside sleeve.
Both of these amazing pieces were made possible by the extraordinarily precise Highcon Euclid laser-cutting and scoring machine - the first to be installed on the West Coast. The sleeves also feature strategic applications of spot gloss UV.
No matter how you slice it - or laser cut it - these business card holders will remind recipients for years to come just why the Impress Communications card inside is indispensable to anyone who wants to explore the cutting edge of print design.
