Ilaria Fenino, sales manager and co-founder, Labeltech: "Labelexpo Europe 2015 was the most exciting and rewarding since LABELTECH has been exhibiting. We couldn't be happier with the results! We were overwhelmed with the record breaking amount of sales leads taken and with the positive feedback received from show attendees for our new EIGER330 die cut to register unit. A special thanks to everyone that expressed interest in our products, you made Labelexpo Europe 2015 a success for LABELTECH. We’re already planning for Labelexpo Europe 2017 where we will welcome our visitors in a bigger booth!"
Raúl Silvestre, product manager, Lartec: “LARTEC would like to thank its visitors and event organizers for making Labelexpo Europe 2015 the most successful ever. It was the perfect opportunity to meet existing customers and distributors face-to-face, as well as helping us to generate hundreds of new business leads. LARTEC signed contracts for the distribution of its products in several new countries, as well as signing agreements to supply flexible dies to some of the world’s leading label manufacturers. Using Labelexpo to promote our innovative range of debossing, texturing and micro-text dies proved to be an overwhelming success, generating huge interest amongst label printers. The Altius range of flexible dies also proved to be extremely popular with visitors, resulting in many orders being placed during the expo itself. Customer feedback has given us several ideas for new product innovation, so we look forward to exhibiting some of them at Labelexpo Europe 2017!”
Iñaki Larrea, commercial department, LEMU: “it was the first edition for our company LEMU at Labelexpo Europe. It was a great surprise for the number and the quality of the visitors; real decision makers. For sure we will be exhibiting again at the next show in 2017.”
Matthias Thor, sales, Matho: “Matho had the most successful Labelexpo Europe since the first participation in 1997 with numerous promising contacts and sales contracts during the show. Amongst others PakMarkas from Lithuania ordered a central waste extraction system CP-6000 for the extraction of self-adhesive matrix from five printing presses and six edge trim machines. During the show Matho demonstrated the complete cutting unit series Cuttopipe and introduced with great feedback the new baler Cuttopress CP-2000. Interested customers were impressed from its technical details, capabilities and reasonable price. This new baler is designed for mid-size label converters to handle the sticky waste from up to five presses and pack it together to a highly-compact bale. This concept will offer customers a lot of benefits to handle the waste in an efficient way.”
Iain Cameron, marketing director, Meech International: “Following the recent launch of our new ionizing bar (the Hyperion 924IPS) and power supplies for anti-static equipment (906 and 907 units), our goal for Labelexpo Europe 2015 was to demonstrate to multiple businesses how Meech’s latest technologies could be employed in the labeling sector to reduce contamination and improve end product quality. Judging from the number of visitors we’ve had on our stand, not to mention the amount of leads we’ve generated throughout the event, we can confidently say that we’ve successfully achieved our goal. Labelexpo is an excellent platform for spotting new business opportunities, as well as for catching up with key industry figures and comparing views on this constantly evolving sector.”
Wim van den Bosch, CEO, MPS: “With its large and broad attendance of narrow web printers and converters, Labelexpo Europe gave MPS an ideal opportunity to debut our new highly automated EF Neo flexo press and the SYMJET digital/flexo press with an integrated Domino digital N610i inkjet printer. In addition to numerous orders from existing and new customers, and an unprecedented number of visitors from all over the world, we celebrated on our stand the first order for the SYMJET digital/flexo press purchased by German printer Optikett. Our partnerships with industry-leading brands to develop several new technology solutions that were also showcased at Labelexpo Europe, in addition to our support of Label Academy and the Linerless Trail, shows our clear focus and support for future ready and innovative printing solutions to help our customers reach success with new growth opportunities.”
Dominique Martin, director general, Neryos: “Our first appearance at Labelexpo Europe was a great success. We introduced a new digital cutting system. The design and performance have attracted visitors. Neryos will thus be able to strengthen its international presence. We have already made an appointment for the next edition in 2017.”
Peter Eriksen, COO, Nilpeter: "Nilpeter is best known for flexo, offset and combination presses, but also our previous digital printing solutions. By only displaying the PANORAMA line at this year’s Labelexpo Europe, Nilpeter strongly stresses its commitment to this new digital product line. Nilpeter has developed a very strong digital platform that deserves full attention, which was rewarded by a fantastic feedback from the market. We are very pleased with this year’s Labelexpo. The number of visitors and printers that are looking to invest in new technology is the highest in many years. We are quite satisfied with this year’s sales to both existing and new customers representing the global label and flexible packaging printing market."
Chiara Prati, sales and marketing director, Prati: “An intense four days in Brussels at the most successful Labelexpo Europe yet. This is how I’d like to sum it all up. We sealed numerous contracts and expect to conclude outstanding business over the next couple of months at the head offices in Faenza. A lot of effort was put into this exhibition, so I am happy to say we expect a busy autumn and decisively positive results at the end of the year.”
Andreas Hoffmann, managing director, Primera Europe: “Under the heading ‘Technology saves the day!’ this year’s Labelexpo Europe wanted to create a place where the impossible is possible, where new label printing technologies can solve even the most complex challenges. Primera Technology, a leading manufacturer of speciality printers, remained faithful to the motto and tried to inspire all visitors with its presentation during the four days in Brussels. We are confident that Labelexpo visitors saw an advanced collection of label printers, like the LX2000e, our newest and fastest pigment inkjet label using the BS5609 section 3 certified ink, label applicators and label substrates Primera Technology ever assembled and that they discovered innovative ways of taking their business to new heights. Primera Technology is expecting a great demand for both its dry-toner and inkjet-based color label printers as well as for its label applicators in the upcoming weeks and months.”
Sarah Harriman, marketing and communications manager, Pulse Roll Label Products: “A fantastic show—the busiest, biggest and best Labelexpo Europe yet for Pulse Roll Label Products! Exhibiting helped to reinforce our reputation as a significant player in the international label ink market. The launch of our new PureTone ink system stimulated tremendous interest and our live demos proved very popular. A total of 32 color matches were made all with a dE of less than 2, using a 5 to 6 volume anilox, highlighting the strength of our new PureTone mixing bases. One customer made a return visit with a color they were struggling to match on-press and which we matched, first time, with a dE of 0.7. A great platform for meeting existing and potential customers and for discussion with our global partners. Quality contacts in new markets were generated as well as many exciting sales opportunities for our ink and varnish products in both existing and new markets.”
Lee Bethell, national and international sales manager, Reel to Reel: “Reel to Reel had its busiest ever Labelexpo Europe with over 1300 visitors to the stand which consisted of over 15 different countries. Due to the amount of customers that attended we came away with over 500 enquiries/leads, due to the success we have now booked and doubled the size of our stand for Labelexpo Europe 2017. We would like to thank all visitors who attended our stand who made this year a massive success.”
Jürgen Bohn, sales, Rosas Maschinenbau: “Labelexpo Europe 2013 was already a really successful trade fair for Rosas but 2015 exceeded our high expectations many times over. Hundreds of visitors with clear ideas, professional unrushed talks, great interest in our “custom made machines” with very concrete intentions to buy and to top it all off, we were even able to sell several machines. Thanks to our visitors and the organizers for a successful Labelexpo Europe 2015. We’ve already booked again for 2017.”
Marco Aengenvoort, managing director, ROTOCONTROL: “This was our third edition of Labelexpo Europe, and the large number of confirmed orders at the show and generated new leads was outstanding. As a German company, Labelexpo Europe provides a convenient venue to demonstrate our range of finishing machines for label inspection, slitting, rewinding, die cutting, overprinting, digital and booklet printed labels to a large audience of narrow web converters. The five finishing machines in our stand attracted a lot of attention, and the event also provided a unique opportunity to showcase our supplier’s technology. The Labelexpo Global Series offers excellent pre-show marketing opportunities to help share what technology exhibitors will present, and they keep the buzz alive with ongoing posts and reshares leading up and during the event from their @Labelexpo Twitter account. We look forward to returning again in 2017!”
Doris Machmer, assistant corporate development, marketing, RUCO: “Printing ink specialist RUCO is delighted with its participation at this year’s Labelexpo Europe. Presented on an eye-catching, modern exhibition stand, the company’s solutions for narrow web applications in the labeling and packaging sector attracted a large number of trade visitors. It was the low-migration product portfolio in particular that met with huge interest. Designed for critical applications with high demands for consumer protection and environmental friendliness, this portfolio takes special account of the fact that labels are produced mainly in combination printing. In addition to low-migration inks for UV rotary screen printing and UV flexo printing, it also includes a low-migration opaque white and a new UV screen printing ink series that complies with the “Nestlé Guidance Note on Packaging Inks”. The numerous high-quality customer inquiries received for this range of products even surpassed RUCO’s expectations and show that the company has hit the bull’s eye with regard to customer requirements.”
Brian Filler, president, Screen Europe: “This has been a phenomenal show for Screen Europe. At the last Labelexpo Europe two years ago we entered the label market for the first time with the launch of the Truepress Jet L-350UV digital label press. Since then we have sold 30 presses worldwide and have earned our place as a premier label press manufacturer. At this show we met companies from all over the world looking to invest in digital technology and we sold a press every day, including a second system to Rever in Spain, and one to UK trade specialist Baker Labels. For companies looking to invest in digital there is a lot of choice and it’s those manufacturers that can offer the best combination of precision, productivity and price that are attracting the most interest.”
Dawn Safford, marketing executive, Shuttleworth: “Shuttleworth Business Systems, the UK’s leading supplier of Management Information Systems to the label industry, reported receiving a good number of high quality leads from a vibrant Labelexpo Europe 2015 exhibition last week. Labelexpo provided a perfect showcase for Shuttleworth’s latest MIS developments all of which are designed to improve efficiencies within a label manufacturer’s business. We are seeing more and more customers from around the globe exploring the benefits of how an MIS can improve workflow, save time, increase efficiencies and minimize errors.”
Isabel Ferreira, SISTRADE: “For the fourth time, SISTRADE was an exhibitor at Labelexpo Europe, during the fair, SISTRADE seeks to strengthen its position in the international market as supplier of MIS|ERP 100 percent Web software for label and packaging printing industry, strengthening the relationship with the customers and encouraging new business opportunities. It was a unique opportunity to present the latest innovations in the technical area of label and packaging printing, with special focus on the graphical process and technical datasheets, combined as the specific estimating (parameterized) according to the product type (label) versus the production control in real time.”
Ajay Mehta, managing director, SMI Coated Products: “We were truly on a roll through the expo. We ended up meeting over 60 new prospective printers from different parts of the world besides meeting our existing friends from the industry. And all of them spent good time at our booth, understanding and appreciating our capabilities and wide range of products we have to offer. Of special interest were the filmic label stock solutions as well as label stock solutions using filmic release liners. We are more than happy with the fantastic response generated at the show. We compliment and thank Labelexpo for waving the magic wand and creating the best ever Labelexpo to date. It was truly a wonderful show and has raised the bar much higher. Expectations for future shows will be a challenge for the group.”
