Komori America is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Garrison to its growing digital division, where she will serve in a newly created national role focused on advancing the company’s inkjet strategy—most notably the J-throne 29, Komori’s B2+ LED-UV inkjet press.
With over 30 years of experience spanning production, sales, and equipment expertise, Garrison brings a wealth of knowledge to Komori’s expanding digital division. Her career includes leadership roles at United Litho, RR Donnelley, and FedEx Office, along with more than seven years at Konica Minolta, where she helped place KM1 inkjet presses across the East Coast and led the company’s first U.S. label press installation.
“I’ve watched firsthand how LED-UV inkjet has transformed businesses” said Garrison. “But speed has always been the limiting factor. The J-throne 29 finally brings the quality we’ve known, but at the speed today’s market demands. It’s exactly what customers have been waiting for.”
Garrison is based in Northern Virginia and will serve in a national overlay role. She will provide support to Komori’s existing sales team, serving as a dedicated inkjet resource to help guide customers through the digital press selection process.
In addition to her technical knowledge, Garrison emphasized the passion that continues to drive her in the print industry. “I’ve always been inspired by the moment ink hits paper—it’s a centuries-old craft that still evolves every day. Helping customers succeed with technology that builds their business is incredibly fulfilling.”
Her appointment is part of a broader initiative by Komori America to strategically build its inkjet footprint, centered around the new J-throne 29 inkjet press. This includes investments in a dedicated inkjet service team, new digital applications, and expanded R&D through Komori Corporation in Japan.
“The addition of Julie reinforces Komori’s long-term commitment to inkjet,” said Lance Martin, VP of Marketing at Komori America. “She brings deep market knowledge, a strong customer-first mindset, and a proven ability to help printers navigate the digital shift.”
The J-throne 29 is engineered for high-speed, high-quality output on standard offset stocks without pre-treatment, offering an ideal complement to both commercial and packaging workflows.
