Koenig & Bauer (Booth N2443) is exhibiting for the first time at PRINTING United Expo. Visitors at this year’s event are encouraged to learn about Koenig & Bauer’s broadest range of products in the industry, which include sheetfed offset presses in all format classes, postpress diecutting, folder/gluers, inkjet presses and systems, flexographic presses, commercial and newspaper web presses, corrugated presses, and special presses for banknotes, securities, metal-decorating, glass, and plastic decorating.
“No matter what part of the market you serve or where you want to expand your services, Koenig & Bauer’s expert team can engage with all levels of printers, discuss your business, and describe our latest technology to help you grow and become more profitable,” says Kilian Renschler, president and CEO of Koenig & Bauer (US/CA). “This is a premier event for our team to engage with customers face-to-face with our knowledgeable staff from all divisions and introduce them to our latest services and products, including a host of new business intelligent tools that include performance analytics.”
For more than 200 years, Koenig & Bauer has built a stellar reputation as the leading manufacturer of high-quality printing presses to the packaging market. Its extensive knowledge has also allowed leading printers from a variety of segments such as commercial, envelope, label, litho laminate, and specialty markets to turn to Koenig & Bauer for the fastest, most automated machinery.
Its time-honored philosophy is to not just build a printing press and sell it, but rather consult directly with the customer and their complete organization to learn about the needs of their current customers while also focusing on their future vision as to potential new applications and markets. By investing in new technology, printers will improve their current efficiency and future-proof their capabilities to grow into new markets. The firm has the distinction of being able to build extra-long presses for unique applications from six-color models up to 18-unit machines running throughout North America.
Of course, Koenig & Bauer prides itself on its long-term leadership position in large-format folding carton press production. Visitors to the booth can learn more about the brand-new generation of Rapida 145 and Rapida 164 large-format sheetfed offset presses. Offering print speeds up to 18,000 sph, these new models are built with a modern interactive operating concept, extended substrate range capabilities, highly automated features, in-line color management systems, and specialized configurations.
Koenig & Bauer has strengthened its position in the corrugated board industry with high board line flexographic printing presses and rotary diecutters. It already addresses the corrugated cardboard market with its CorruCUT and CorruFLEX.
One of the fastest growing markets continues to be digital, and Koenig & Bauer will be promoting its RotaJET and VariJET digital presses at PRINTING United Expo. Stephen Sanker, the firm’s newly named digital printing manager, will be on hand to discuss the new VariJET 106, a modular single pass sheetfed digital printing press for the folding carton market as well as the firm’s expanded role and format capabilities of the RotaJET digital web press across all market segments.
Koenig & Bauer has seen tremendous growth and success for its postpress products, which include its Duran line of folder/gluer products and its Iberica flatbed diecutter portfolio. The launch of the new CutPRO Q, a highly automated diecutter with industry-leading technology will bring diecutting efficiency to the next level.
To round off its postpress offerings, the rotary diecutter CutPRO X offers a high speed solution for the label and folding carton markets.
To demonstrate its wide range of products, Koenig & Bauer Kammann will be featured at the booth. Well known for its German engineering, manufacturing, and quality products, this division provides innovative, precision-based decorating equipment for direct printing on three-dimensional glass, plastic, or metal containers. With its innovative digital inkjet capabilities complementing its traditional screen-printing, hot-stamping, and labeling techniques, Kammann can combine the processes to take advantage of its best features, which offer flexible high-quality unique decorating solutions for its customers and continues to demonstrate Kammann’s technological leadership.
With a strong renowned reputation as a leading manufacturer, Koenig & Bauer (US/CA) is proud to be part of the 204-year-old Koenig & Bauer group. The firm recently reported a 13% increase in customer orders for the first half of 2022 than the previous healthy year. This performance was particularly underpinned by the increase of around 22% in orders in the sheetfed segment, and of around 46% in the digital and webfed segment. Koenig & Bauer’s order backlog as of June 30 was one of the highest in the company’s recent history.
Koenig & Bauer welcomes printers in all segments to stop by at its comfortable booth and chat with its team of experts while enjoying a complimentary soft drink, cold beer, and traditional German brats.
