Graphic Village has completed installation of a 1,454-kilowatt rooftop solar array at its Blue Ash headquarters that is expected to offset approximately 80% of the facility’s annual electricity consumption.
The system, consisting of 2,486 solar panels, is projected to generate an estimated 1,730,012 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity annually. As the largest rooftop solar PV system in the Cincinnati region, the installation represents a significant investment in long-term operational sustainability and energy management.
The grid-tied system is expected to deliver approximately $144,000 in energy savings in its first year and an estimated $12 million in savings over 30 years, with a projected payback period of 4.6 years.
Over its lifetime, the array is estimated to offset approximately 27,640 metric tons of carbon dioxide — equivalent to removing more than 62 million vehicle miles from the road or planting more than 414,000 trees.
During peak summer months, the system is projected to offset the headquarters’ electricity demand while
continuing to provide meaningful year-round reductions in grid dependency.
“This investment reflects our long-standing commitment to responsible manufacturing and thoughtful resource management,” said Eric Kahn, Executive Chairman of Graphic Village. “For more than a century, we’ve evolved alongside the industries and communities we serve. Installing the region’s largest rooftop solar PV system is a natural extension of our focus on operational excellence and environmental stewardship.”
The installation builds upon Graphic Village’s broader sustainability initiatives, including responsible material sourcing, FSC certification and continued investment in efficient production practices designed to reduce environmental impact while maintaining the quality standards clients expect.
Installation of the array began in August 2025 and was completed in January 2026 at Graphic Village’s Blue Ash campus, which is also home to sister companies LPK and Intrinzic, both leading branding firms.
Melink Solar, a Cincinnati-based commercial solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, provided system design, engineering, equipment procurement, construction and monitoring services for the rooftop project.
“Graphic Village makes brands visible. Their solar array now makes their commitment to sustainability visible, all while slashing carbon emissions and reducing electricity costs,” said Seth Parker, CEO of Melink Solar.
Graphic Village will formally recognize completion of the project during a Solar Celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Blue Ash headquarters on April 7, 2026.
