Comprehensive Goss Web Center workflow systems for commercial and newspaper applications will also be demonstrated at Drupa, including new automation and waste reduction features.
Compact and versatile newspaper presses
The compact Goss FPS press, first introduced at Drupa 2004, will again be featured with slide-apart units, cut-off change capabilities and a wide range of web-width and ribbon options. The first FPS system now prints two million coldset, heatset and combined products weekly at Independent News and Media in Northern Ireland. A second installation is currently underway in The Netherlands, and a triple-width FPS press will be installed in the United States following drupa.
Goss Uniliner and Magnum presses remain cornerstones of the Goss International portfolio and popular choices for versatile newspaper and semi-commercial applications worldwide. New Uniliner features demonstrated at drupa will include automated plate changing. An eight-page Magnum press tower will be displayed with a new level shaftless drive system and three-form inker.
“The drupa show is about the aspirations of printers and publishers poised to take their operations – and the print medium itself – to new levels of productivity, competitiveness and value,” according to Brown. “Global resources, an expansive product and service portfolio, and innovative technology differentiate Goss International and put us in the best position to support these aspirations.”
