At PRINTING United Expo — which will be held Oct. 22-24 in Orlando, Florida — education and technology will take center stage. And education, in particular, will be robust, with a little something for everyone, of every skill level, and every segment of the broader print industry.
But one segment of education getting a lot of attention is the inaugural G7/G7+ Exchange, taking place the day before the Expo floor opens, on Oct. 21. The sold-out event will feature a half-day of intensive color management education, and will set attendees up for the technologies they’ll be seeing and experiencing once the floor opens the following day.
“We knew there was demand for this kind of gathering, but the response has been overwhelming — the event is officially at capacity,” notes Joe Marin, senior vice president, Member Services, PRINTING United Alliance. “It shows just how much energy and excitement there is around G7+ and the future of print.”
What will attendees be learning about? Here are a few highlights from the agenda:
- Don Hutcheson, HutchColor, will give the opening keynote, setting the stage for how color management has evolved, why it matters, and how G7/G7+ fits into the equation.
- The Roundtable Exchange — attendees will chose from several interactive tables, which will each host three 20-minute sessions where they can bring their questions, tips, ideas, and more to talk about with experts and peers.
- Ron Ellis, Ron Ellis Consulting, will lead a discussion on G7+ lessons learned, with a focus on tips and tricks for implementation.
- Jordan Gorski, PRINTING United Alliance, will lead a panel discussion on why color success comes with aligning the printed elements with brand and design expectations.
And that is just a few of the great sessions that will be offered during the event, which will run from 1:00 – 5:00 PM.
“The G7/G7+ Exchange is more than a meeting — it’s the community coming together,” says Marin. “We’ll have experts, brand owners, and printers all in the same room, sharing real-world experiences and shaping the future of color and print.”
And if you didn’t secure one of those coveted slots for this year’s Exchange, be sure to seek out Marin and the rest of the iLEARNING+ team at the PRINTING United Alliance booth (#3956), to learn more about G7/G7+, as well as the many other educational opportunities offered on the platform beyond the trade show floor.
