NEW YORK—The advisory board of New York University’s Graphic Communications Management and Technology Program today named Thomas Quinlan, president and CEO of RR Donnelley, the winner of the 2011 Prism Award. The Prism Award is presented annually in recognition of distinguished leadership in the graphic communications media industry.

Sponsored by the Master of Arts in Graphic Communications Management and Technology program at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies, the award will be presented to Quinlan during the 25th annual Prism Award Luncheon on June 21, 2011, at Gotham Hall in New York.

Previous NYU Prism Award recipients include: Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi, executive vice president, HP’s Imaging and Printing Group; Cathleen Black, chairman of Hearst Magazines; Antonio Perez, president and CEO of Eastman Kodak; Anne Mulcahy, chairman of Xerox Corp.; Janet Robinson, president of The New York Times; and past CEOs of RR Donnelley, Sun Chemical and The Washington Post.

The proceeds of the Prism Award luncheon help fund student scholarships, as well as student and program support for the NYU-SCPS Graphic Communications Management and Technology graduate program. Since its inception, the Prism Award luncheon has raised millions of dollars for scholarships for students in the program.
