September 2010Printer Looks to Expand Digital Capabilities
SEATTLE—Olympus Press expects its new four-color Meteor DP60 Pro multi-substrate digital press and EnvelopExpress envelope feeder from MGI USA to help the firm expand its business into new digital markets.
Important criteria in the purchase was the DP60 Pro's extended sheet lengths. "Our customers are used to a 40˝ sheet length, and the Meteor DP60 Pro's extended sheet sizes allowed us to migrate many of those (offset) jobs to digital for shorter runs," says Glenn Blue, co-owner. He also liked the fact that there are no click charges with the new MGI digital press.
