Carolina Graphic Christens New Facility with Press

GREENSBORO, NC—Carolina Graphic Services has placed an order for a six-color, 56˝ manroland R906-6 LV offset press with coating module. The press will be installed later this year at the company’s new print production facility here. It will complement an existing 64″ manroland six-color model that was purchased in 2006.

“We decided to stay with manroland for our next press based on our history together,” noted Ron Woodward, sales manager of Carolina Graphics. “The support that we have been receiving has been outstanding. Once our newest press is installed into the new plant, manroland will then move our existing R906-7 LV into its new home. We feel, for us, it is best to have the press manufacturer who manufactured the press be the one that moves and installs it.”

Along with the press, Carolina Graphic Services obtained a closed-loop inker upgrade and additional training. The company provides large-format printing products for point-of-sale (POS) packaging.
