Thames Printing in Norwich Said to Face Closing

An executive of GHP Media Inc., a West Haven (CT) printer, told Thames Printing Co. employees Wednesday that Thames is transferring its work to GHP and that the venerable Norwich company will eventually close, sources with knowledge of the situation said Thursday.

John Vesia, vice president of manufacturing for GHP, told employees that some of Thames’ salespeople were already on the GHP payroll and that the remaining Thames employees could apply for jobs at GHP, the sources said.

Neil Blinderman, Thames Printing's owner, said "no comment" when asked about the meeting.

Once GHP becomes an authorized vendor for Mohegan Sun, one of Thames
