Paper Industry Guru Dies
EXTON, PA—Bill Subers, founder of Grade Finders Inc., passed away July 1 at the age of 80. Mr. Subers had served the graphic arts community for 47 years as publisher of the “Competitive Grade Finder” (www.paperbuyers-
online.com) and other paper buyer directories, considered the “Bibles of the industry.” He worked in conjunction with paper mills, merchants and converters to develop Grade Finders’ brightness and opacity standards, which were adopted by the entire industry and are still in use today.

PHILADELPHIA—The “Inkjet and B2 Digital Trend” article in last month’s issue contained a factual error. The Meteor DP8700 S was actually MGI’s entry-level digital press introduced at drupa 2012. It has a maximum format of 13x19˝. The multi-substrate Meteor DP8700 XL press, which made its formal debut at Graph Expo last year, features 13x40˝ print capabilities.
