Japs-Olson Co. has installed a new Goss Pacesetter 2200 saddlestitcher at its state-of-the-art production facility in Minneapolis. The Goss Pacesetter can stitch up to 22,000 booklets per hour and has inside/outside addressing capability.

S. Rosenthal Closes Doors CINCINNATI—S. Rosenthal & Co., a publication and catalog printer that dated back to 1868, perished in April with the demise of its Portland, TN, facility, Heritage Graphics. About 300 people lost their jobs. The company, ranked 117th on the 2005 PI 400 with $47 million in annual sales, never recovered from the loss of its TV Guide printing account. Weyerhaeuser Mulls Move FEDERAL WAY, WA—Weyerhaeuser Co. is considering alternatives for its fine paper business, including a possible sale. MINNEAPOLIS—Japs-Olson retired company Chairman and President William Beddor is currently seeking to remove the company's existing management, which is led, in part, by his son Michael. In addition Beddor's other children are also suing the company, demanding full payment for their collective 31 percent stake in the largely direct mail printing operation. In a pair of lawsuits filed in Hennepin District Court, the siblings claim they've been squeezed out of the company decision-making process by Michael Beddor and current Chairman Robert Murphy.
