Production Exectuives to be Inducted into 2002 Hall of Fame

CHRIS PROCTOR is print purchaser for American Technical Publishers. He started with the company in 1989 working in the warehouse before becoming an illustrator. He now oversees all of America Tech’s print purchasing from catalogs to textbooks. His other responsibilities include inventory, paper and cover selection, and binding materials. He lives in Crete, IL with his wife Pamela and daughters, Natalie, 5, and Jessica, 3.

MICHAEL ROSS is executive vice president and publisher for World Book. Having been with World Book for more than 10 years, Ross is responsible for the company’s worldwide publishing and marketing activities, including all print and electronic product development and international licensing. He leads the design and development work of more than 100 editors, designers, researchers and producers, and builds important strategic relationships with such companies as IBM and AOL. Notably, Ross successfully engineered World Book’s electronic development business online, including its online bookstore, while maintaining World Book’s dominance in print. He began his career in publishing 23 years ago after graduating from the University of Minnesota.

MELISSA SCHOENHERR is director of promotion production for Target Corp. Her career has been going strong for 19 years, 12 of which have been spent at Target. Schoenherr is responsible for brand production national print, collateral and TV. Recently, Schoenherr developed production process for owned brands packaging. She has degrees from Metropolitan University and Minneapolis Community Colleges.
